The governor of Anambra state, His Excellency Chief Willie Mmaduaburochukwu Obiano visited the scene of the inferno at Nkwo ogwe Ihiala Market, Anambra state early afternoon 18/10/21. Among his entourage includes the state commissioner of police, CP Echeng E Echeng, the commissioner for information Mr Don Adinuba, representatives of Ihiala Local government at the state house of assembly
Pascal Agbodike and Chudi Udemadu among others.
The governor while assessing the market that was badly burnt lamented about the challenges encountered in stopping the fire. He however promised to stationed fire fighting truck close to the market incase of future fire occurence.
Indeed, this idea of His Excellency will go a very long way. If every market in the state will be equipped with fire fighting trucks, it will help to avert such brutal fire damages to public property. He promised to be of assistance to the people their property were affected by the fire.
